My concept behind Beachcombing is to produce thirteen works of art from the rubbish that I find from the thirteen different beaches I will be visiting during the course of the project. There is no planning on what beaches I will work with, most of them I expect will be from the East Anglian coastline near where I live. The rubbish will either be left behind or washed up as a result of our material world and over packaging. The beachcombing takes place very early in the morning to collect the rubbish. I use the objects I find to apply the paint to the boards. I have no concept how an artwork will turn out, it reveals itself as I work on each piece.
